18:00 Java 21, release overview, and a look at some up and coming features by David Simms and Ludvig Janiuk (Oracle)
Together with thousands of bug fixes, performance and security updates, Java 21 contains numerous new features, including 15 JDK Enhancement Proposals (JEPs). It's a big release. It also happens to be a Long Term Support (LTS) release, whereby Oracle will offer at least 8 years commercial support. Even being an LTS, every Java release still looks forward, with Java 21 including 6 preview features and an incubator feature. An overview of the release for folks that might not be caught up yet, and then a look at some of the newer preview work, so you can see "Moving Java Forward" in Java 21 and beyond.
18:50 Zero to Production with Tekton, Helm, ArgoCD, and Kubernetes by Rasheed Amir (Stakater)
Join us on a transformative journey from zero to production as we delve into the world of Java application deployment with Tekton, Helm, ArgoCD, and Kubernetes. In this session, we'll explore dynamic environments on pull requests, the Helm leader chart approach, GitOps repository structures, and security-first DevSecOps practices. Whether you're an architect or developer, this presentation and live demo equips you with the skills to efficiently deploy and secure Java applications in today's DevSecOps landscape.
